Safe Room Bath
This little room is a handy room to have when there's "a
storm a'bru'n" outside. It serves a double purpose. For one thing, it
is the bathroom for the bedroom that is on this level. Also, it was built
with the same reinforced walls as the safe room, and thus is just another room,
or a bathroom, for the safe room. It makes it very convenient if someone
needs to wait out a storm.

There is a corner shower equipped with
body massage jets for a relaxing or invigorating shower. A built-in
seat is handy for those times you want to just set and relax while the jets
give you a relaxing massage. It also has a hand held shower for
getting to those hard to reach places. |

Above the shower is lattice work with rope lighting behind.

A lovely porcelain pedestal sink was
decorated specifically for this room. It has birds and plants on it to
liven up the room and to take the place of the window that can not be put
into a “safe” room. |

On the wall is a lovely electric fireplace
so the room can be kept warm. The electric fireplace was chosen
because one would not want a gas unit place in a storm shelter. A regular ceiling heater could have been chosen, but would
have been boring and just would not fit into this adorable little bath.
Instead, this lovely little wall fireplace adds charm and elegance to this below ground
area. |
Off the
bathroom is a walk-in closet. This works for the bedroom on this level and
is very conveniently located here with the bath. The closet even has a built-in
ironing board for use by people on this floor.
Wait out
the storm in comfort!
