Wine Cellar
|
 |
Behind,
and to the right of
the fireplace in the living room, is a very large, very
striking, iron and glass door adorned with grapes and grape vines. |
You
look in through the glass and see a small, but complete, private wine cellar.
Redwood wine racks line the walls.
|
This is the back wall
of the wine cellar. (Part of the back will be removed because it was
done in memory of the owner's son. It will be replaced.) |
 |
As you look up you notice the ceiling is done in beautiful ceiling tins.
These are replicas of the original tins used in homes and businesses centuries
ago. They are perfect for this room.
|
 |
Hanging from the ceiling is an antique iron light fixture that has found
it’s home here and proudly remains suspended, ready to give light to this
delightful, little room. Picture on left is of light. Picture
on right is of light as seen through door. |
 |
|
Rope
lighting hides out of site above the wine racks, to give a soft, romantic
glow when called upon. Suspended from the ceiling is another
interesting light. It's a cluster of glass grapes |
. |
The
door is locked with a keyless entry lock so one has to know the combination to
enter, thus protecting the enticing stock that awaits to be enjoyed.
